Some news for excited people

Well, as you know I'm on exams, and I should be studying now... Although that I've seen many comments asking me for new beta 5 and such. Well I've some news to tell you then.

HW drivers, are smoother than ever, but they are unstable than ever... Most apps got FC and swap colors is some heavy RAM usage, so they are not ready yet.

Common kernel booted at the moment on Samsung Galaxy Ace i and Galaxy Y. Although, on Galaxy Ace i, wverything works as it should, it does not work the same on Galaxy Y. (Broken camera). Remember that at the moment, this kernel is made for stock ROM, then we will support CM.

Apart from that, Alberto96 has re-made common Ramdisk cleaning up lots of Samsung services I didn't watch before and removing all ext4 patches on sbin/ folder. This will be an AOSP Ramdisk.

Apart from that, nothing more to say... Oh yeah, for lucky people with Xperia SP like me, I've Offlince charging on CM11 for this device, and CyanogenMod team accepted. New FXP317 Release includes Offline charging working :) http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/63057/

      No - read again - it is a stock kernel - he is first making sure everything works on stock before adding cm support - The way I read it everything works on stock as it should on ace but not galaxy y
      CM support will be added later

      If he need to tell us every single progress he (and BroadcomCM team) make then he would waste more time with social networks than working, doesn't make any sense since he always keep us updated WHEN THERE IS ANY RELEVANT NEW to tell us... this is a blog where he always explain the new stuff and ideas so what else do you guys want? this is more than enough, I think some of you guys have lot of free time...

    If you release beta5 people (not all people but a few noobs) will ask for beta6 and if you release RC1 they will ask for RC2 anyway so don't worry and work in your time, study your stuff and live your life as you have to, you and your team know better than anybody when worth to make a release and we can wait whatever it takes.

Galaxy Ace s5830 (msm7x27) come back to development!

As I can see, Galaxy Ace s5830 development is kind of dead. I don't know why though, but now, as I have a good PC I want to make them turn alive. My actual work on this device were CM10, CM10.1 and CM10.2. We removed CM10 as it performed worst than CM10.1. CM9 was already on its latest version by maclaw and erikcas, so we don't need more work on it.  Although that, CyanogenMod and Androidarmv6 (my team) has stopped working on CM10.1 and CM10.2 basing from now on CM11 KitKat. I think its time to introduce the FINAL version on CM10.1 and CM10.2 as now I've a good PC that can build those ROMs in a "relative" small time. So you guys stay tuned too on my development for Cooper, Qualcomm Galaxy Ace based. PD: Still loving it more than Broadcom based ;) I Will not leave Broadcom phones! And I will release more CM9 versions for BCM21553 devices but  please don't blame on me if I've other interests. Thank you.

Audio working, what about nes release?

Hi there, I managed to get audio working, but just on speakers at the moment. I've made really big step up, but we do not have Audio Sources for other communications and that is really bad. I'll try to figure out how to make them work (front speaker and headphone), without any kind of source. Apart from that, I've bad news too, RIL has been broken due to new Audio libs. This is really weird, and I must figure it out too, although that will be really difficult. I want to make you a question, would you like to see Beta 3 with audio (speakers) working and more fixes that you don't know, BUT with RIL broken? Fixing RIL will take a lot of time to make them compatible with new Audio sources... So what you think? Some progress on CM9

I've been working on CM9 during last week, mainly on audio system, and try to port audio ALSA software system to our devices. I did not have the luck to manage them to work, although I work on it really hard. I stopped from Audio a bit, and focus on other important things (not as much as Audio). I've fixed USB mass storage and I'm working now on IMEI - 3G and data fix. YES I KNOW, there is a flashable zip that "fix" it, but implementing the fix on source need some extra work --> better user expierence.  I was trying to fix battery stats, although this result on battery always showing 1% so I'll have to revert that :P Well, still working. For some users : Development took long, and even MORE on my PC. So news will come on 1-2 weeks, I've school, studies, exams, training kids, training with my team and a shit PC. With all of that, I've time for development, but not too much, so please be patient. AUDIO WILL TAKE LOT OF TIME.
